Is it rubbish? Not at all. The team have given considerable
time and effort over to producing a usable (and sellable) set of
training series/modules that will hopefully see even greater works
coming out of 3Ds Max. TOP
Why use a download system instead of nice shiny DVDs?
Again, a few factors weighed in on this decision, one of which was
the commitment and time required to package and post out goods,
which quite frankly is just not the business we are in. We produce
computer graphics, that is what we enjoy doing. 3D, Compositing,
Motion Graphics, and a small amount of Web/Flash work is the
staple of our working week, we just wanted to keep it at that.
Cost again was a major concern, the more we spend to produce our
training, the more the customer spends to acquire it. we hope this
way everyone benefits. TOP
How does the download system work?
Very simple and straightforward (and quite low tech for the moment)
Place your order by using the 'Add to Basket' buttons found with each
Module, go through the Paypal checkout process, (No you don't need
a Paypal account), then, once we receive confirmation of your order an
email with the download link will sent to the address specified during the
ordering process.
This will usually be only 30 to 60 minutes after your order is placed, but we
do ask that you allow 'up to' 24 hours for this email before contacting us.
The link sent will be valid for 48 hours. If you cannot for some reason
complete the download before this deadline just email us and we will
make alternative arrangements with you. TOP
What format is used to deliver the Training?
As of May 2007 all new Modules will use the Quicktime Mov format
which allows us to present a more proffesional Training presentation.
Each module specifies which format the video is encoded to!
Any Modules encoded as AVI files use the XVid codec. TOP
Are there any special Hardware/Software requirements to view the training?
There are a couple of things that need to be kept in mind with regard
to watching the MBM training videos. Firstly you will need to have the
XVid codec installed on your computer for AVI modules (Links to download the latest
Windows installer can be found from the XVid homepage at www.xvid.org)
For modules encoded to MOV Apple Quicktime 7.1 or higher will need to be installed.

You also need to be aware of the format of your download file. We
provide an encrypted (password protected) self extracting archive.
In other words a .EXE file which will automatically set up a directory
structure for you that will make archiving your training and then
burning to disc very easy indeed.
How often will Modules be released?
The only honest answer we can give is, 'As they are ready'. We are
very much aware though that sooner is preferable to later! TOP
The Download isn't working, what now?
Firstly check the obvious such as your connection to the internet
and the status of any download managers that you may be using.
Also bear in mind that if there is a heavy load on our website then
server responses may be slow at times. If a problem persists then
use the contact pages to get in touch with us.
Can I request Features to be covered?
Absolutely. In fact we very much encourage Max users to give us
as much feedback as possible concerning their training needs and
what content would be useful to them inside the MBM training series. TOP
Can I Copy/Archive this training?
Absolutely. In fact we very much encourage anyone who purchases
this training to develop it as a complete reference library for using V-Ray
inside 3DS Max. That is why we deliver the training as a self extracting
archive that has all the relevant directory structures (Series name,
Module name etc..) built in. That way you can simply burn an entire
series directory straight to DVD, or archive it on a storage disc. The
obvious request is to PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE refrain from copying
this material and simply 'giving 'it to someone who has not purchased
it for themselves. TOP
How do I pay?
Payment for Mental Bout Max training is accepted by credit card
through the 'Paypal' shopping cart system. You do NOT need to
have a Paypal account to purchase this way, simply use your credit
card as normal.
If you have a problem with the Paypal system you can also pay

Mail Yes, Phone No. As a graphics business we have no 'on site'
order processing facilities. We can organise 'Cheque' or 'Money Order'
purchases this way, but credit card purchases MUST go through the
Paypal system.
Do you offer Academic pricing?
As we have noted a few times the production of this training has
very much kept in mind that many of those who may have the
need to make use of this training will be in 'tight' financial situations.
Students, self taught (whilst holding a bill paying job) etc. For these
reasons we have put this training at a price point that should be
accessible to anyone wanting to train seriously as a 3D Artist. So
the long winded answer to the original question would be No. We
simply cannot cut the cost any more than it is. TOP
Can I re-sell/Share this training?
No. Your purchase gives YOU a personal license to the educational
content of this training. You may install the training to any computers
that are used by you, but NOT with the purpose of sharing this training
with others. Each individual benefiting from this training should have
purchased their own copy.
All visual and audio content is copyrighted to Geonome and so cannot
be used in any way other than those stated, unless done so with the
authors express permission.
Can I request a refund after purchase?
So long as your download links have not been sent this is not problem.
However, once you have received your download email it is no longer
possible to refund your money. This is an unfortunate consequence of
the ease with which Digital files can be copied and re-distributed. we hope
you understand the need for this restriction. TOP

Nowhere. This training is sold exclusively through the MBM site
any other website or bulletin board offering this training for sale is
doing so illegally. The MBM dev team would be appreciate the help
