a number of ways that we can creating good looking Wood Flooringwith VRay is now available! Custom Displacement Maps, custom
Diffuse Maps as well as some Suggested Final Render settings are all

Tuesday 2nd June 2009 *New Module*
Hey Everyone,
Been waaayyy to long since we have been able to release a NEW
VRay module for you, but that is exactly what we have. Actually not
only a NEW Module, but the start of a Brand New VRay series that
we will be tying together with our existing Mental Ray Shader Series
to bring you some regular New Material Creations.
When it comes to producing high quality interior environments
using VRay, the abiltiy to create convincing Materials for
our surfaces is a pretty essential skill. Floor Surfaces can
present some very unique challenges if we want them to be
convincing enough to enhance the quality and believability of
our Interior Renders. In this module we make a start at creating
a variety of beleivable HardWood Floors. Check it out Here!
Monday 8th Dec 2008 *New Module*
Hi Guys,
In this 3rd part of our look at controlling colour bleed in VRay we
focus on the Controls given to us in the GI systems themselves, (with
a quick look at How the Primary bounce engines are working) as
well as taking a look at the controls available at the Material level.
Unlike part 1 though we are not looking at Material Properties but
rather how through Materials we can control how the GI systems
are bouncing colour.

Hello people,
Straight onto the second part of our little 'Controlling Colour
Bleed' Mini Series. Here we look at getting control of Colour
Bleed in our scenes by using a 'Physical' approach to the problem!
By that, we mean dealing with (as we would in a real environment)
the Lighting and Surface Properties of our Materials to gain some

Hey All
As a result of the reworking of our module production pipeline
we are pleased to announce a new Module in the VRay 'How To'
Series. Here we begin a 'Mini Series' of Modules that will be taking
an 'In Depth' look at the subject of Colour Bleed! What it is, how it
occurs, but most importantly, a Whole Host of ways that we can either
Control or even Eliminate this render engine feature. Get It Here!

Hey Everyone, time to get moving with some serious production
of VRay modules. First up is a Brand New 'How To' series, the
first module of which introduces us to the VRay specific portion
of our W850i Project. Here we set up our Lighting Rig, Reflector
Rig, and some Placeholder materials to get us ready for the phones

of the MBM Training website. Our first offering for your
VRay learning pleasure is Modules 1 & 2 of the new VRay
Overview Series. As with our Mental Ray Overview Series
the point here is to learn how core VRay tools are working
before moving on to using them in our Rendering Projects.
