Why use a download system instead of nice shiny DVDs?
A few factors weighed in on this decision, not the least of which was the sheer volume of work and time needed to burn, package and post out the DVD's.
Cost of course was also a major concern, the more time and money we spend to produce our training, the more you (the customer) has to spend to acquire it. We hope this way everyone benefits.

How does the download system work?
Very simple and straightforward! Just navigate to the MBM Shop, choose the Area of the Shop you want to purchase from. Browse the item list and place any items you wish to purchase in your basket. When done just use the checkout link (if not a registered customer you will need to go through an extremely simple registration process), and then complete your purchase using the Paypal checkout system. (You DO NOT need to have a Paypal Account!)
After purchase you will receive an MBM invoice by email that will contain a download link for a HTML file. After saving this to your hardrive you will be able to use the Links and Passwords in that file to DownLoad and View your Training Module, as well as any Extra Download Content included.
When you Run the downloaded .Exe file it will automatically set up a directory structure for you that will make finding and archiving your training very easy indeed.

What format is used to deliver the Training?
All current MentalBoutMax Modules (from September 2010 onward) will be Produced as standard Windows .Avi files, using the Techsmith TSCC codec. (Included in the Download)
This Format allows us to produce Professional Training Presentations in High Quality Video and Audio.
The Latest version of ANY Media Players used is always recommended.

Are there any special Hardware/Software requirements to view the training?
For ALL Current (September 2010 onward) Modules you need to be sure that your Computer is capable of playing back Windows AVI Video and Audio at a resolution of 1280x720 at 12 fps. (Frames Per Second).
We HIGHLY recomend that you View this Training on a High Definition Television Set for a more Relaxed experience.
MentalBoutMax's Older Training is mostly produced as Quicktime MOV files at a resolution of 1024x768 running at 5 fps.
The Download isn't working, what now?
Firstly check the obvious such as your connection to the internet and the status of any download managers that you may be using. Also bear in mind that if there is a heavy load on our website then server responses may be slow at times. If a problem persists then use the contact pages to get in touch with us.
Can I request Features to be covered?
Absolutely. In fact we very much encourage Max users to give us as much feedback as possible concerning their training needs and what content would be useful to them and so should be included in an MBM Training Module.

Can I Copy/Archive this training?
Absolutely. In fact we very much encourage anyone who purchases this training to develop it as a complete reference library for using their Render Engine of choice inside 3DS Max. That is why we deliver the training as a self extracting archive that has all the relevant directory structures (Series name, Module name etc..) built in. That way you can simply burn an entire Series directory straight to DVD, or archive it on a Portable Hard Drive. The obvious request is to PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE refrain from copying this material and simply 'giving 'it to someone who has not purchased it for themselves.
How do I pay?
Payment for Mental Bout Max training is accepted by credit card through the 'Paypal' shopping cart system. You do NOT need to have a Paypal account to purchase this way, simply use your credit card as normal.
If you have a problem with the Paypal system you can also pay through the MoneyBookers system. (www.moneybookers.com) Just send us an email if you want to use this option. If you do not have access to a credit card then arrangements for 'Cheque' or 'International money order' payments can be made via email. Mail Yes, Phone No. As a graphics business we have no 'on site' Order Processing facilities. We can organise 'Cheque' or 'Money Order' purchases this way, but Credit Card purchases MUST go through the Paypal system.
Can I request a refund after purchase?
Once you have received your download Link we regret to say that it is no longer possible to refund your money. This is an unfortunate consequence of the ease with which Digital files can be copied and re-distributed. we hope you understand the need for this restriction.

No. Your purchase gives YOU a personal license to the educational content of this training. You may install the training onto any computers that are used by you, but NOT with the purpose of sharing this training with others. Do I need to Register in order to make a Purchase?
