When it comes to producing high quality interior environments
using Mental Ray, the abiltiy to create convincing Materials for
our surfaces is a pretty essential skill. Floor Surfaces can
present some very unique challenges if we want them to be
convincing enough to enhance the quality and believability of
our Interior Renders. In this module we make a start at creating

Hi Guys,
So here is the first Shader Series Module we have done in
quit some time. In part 1 of an ongoing look at developing
convincing Water Materials we take a look at, firstly the
'Quick' options available to us when using Mental Ray! So the
Pro Materials & the Preset from the A&D shader. Then,
using both an A&D Material AND a blank Mental Ray material
we start to build the basics into a generic water shader (with
some interesting Physics thrown in) that will allow us to go on

Bleed can be controlled when working with Mental Rays
Global Illumination Photons. This module looks at both the

Hey all,
After spending quite a bit of time deliberating how to give you
guys more of what you have been asking for, the Team here at
MBM are pleased to announce a new Mental Ray Series that will
allow us to give you deeper MR training but in a timely manner.
The new 'MR ToolBox Series' is designed with the explicit idea
of focusing on a specific tool in MR with each module, the first
of which is a deeper look at the MR Sun light type.
